The village of Avebury is a deeply, deeply special place. A tiny scattering of houses, a single pub, and a crystal shop – all encircled by a massive Neolithic stone circle older and larger than Stonehenge.
Twice a year on winter and summer solstice, revellers gather to celebrate the changing seasons. An unofficial party pops up among the ancient stones. Drummers drum all night long as eccentrics and history lovers alike party until the sun rises.
I loaded my camera with high speed film and set off to document the mischief.
